Our story

Our story

Civera's has been the corner deli at State Road and Lansdowne Avenue since 1985. You come in for a sandwich and leave with dinner for the whole family.

The corner deli

We opened in 1985 as a neighborhood delicatessen with takeout beer, good food, and a small grocery line for Drexel Hill. The corner of State Road and Lansdowne Avenue has been our address from day one.

Rebuilt for the neighborhood

In 2007 an electrical fire closed the deli. We rebuilt and reopened a year later with a fresh look, and the neighborhood came right back.
The work behind the counter

The work behind the counter

Every day we make our sauces, soups, meatballs and gravy, and chicken cutlets in house. When you order a sandwich here, it's made with food we prepared that morning.

Rolls and tomato pies from Corropolese

Fresh-baked rolls and tomato pies come in each morning from Corropolese Bakery. Behind the counter you'll find sliced meats, sharp provolone, prepared sides, salads, and a rotating selection of craft and imported beer.
